Looking back on a band history lasting for over 40 years, you could say that the “Truck Stop” guys have gone through almost everything. 38 albums and countless performances in German chart shows are the best proof for their unbelievable success. But unforeseen calamities turned everything upside down and “Truck Stop” was due to be chucked in. Nevertheless, they are back. With a new line-up, greater sound and more honest lyrics than ever before. The new ones – front man Andreas Cisek, lead guitarist Chris Kaufmann and the man on the fiddle Tim Reese – shook things up and “Truck Stop’s” new sound was transferred to their new album “Männer sind so”, released in October 2015. The lyrics seem way more modern and deal with all-day problems und more personal topics. Needless to say, the new sound was received quite well among their fans and they made it into the top 15 albums, instantly. All in all, you could say that the band was somehow reinvented and presents itself more modern and powerful than in the old days. At the end of the day, only one thing stays the same: “Truck Stop” is still one of the most authentic bands in European Country music.

The self-pronounced Austro-Americans are one of Austria’s most promising Country combos around. One “Song of the Year” Award in 2014 for the song “Back in Town” and another “Album of the Year” Award in 2015 for the album “Rodeo Man”, given to them by the Austrian Country Music Federation, are the best proof for their status as special artists. The four guys deliver an awesome show and a brilliant mix of power and being down to earth. During their gigs, they combine various different genres, from classic Country and Country-Rock to Texas-Swing. There may be heavy guitar tunes on the one song, while the following song is dominated by straight and true Country sounds. To sum it up, “Nashville” convinces the audience with a perfectly balanced and well-selected set list, as well as pure energy and dedication and the visitors of European Country Festival are ensured, to see an unforgettable show.

The Buffalo Bells
“The Buffalo Bells” were THE startling discovery at the European Country Festival 2015. Contrary to their short gig in 2015, they will have the opportunity to show their breathtaking talent within a longer slot in 2016. The newcomers from Lower-Austria equally astonished the audience and the event organizers and their slot was booked right after the festival in 2015. Basically they deliver an awesome comprehensive package, topped off by their energetic front man Roman and the marvelous voice of their songstress Sophie. They define their sound as Rock’n’Country and it’s highly influenced by role models, such as Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. Their live shows are astonishing and deliver fun, entertainment and most importantly – good music. After all there is a reason why the Austrian Country Music Federation (ACMF) awarded this band as the “Newcomer of the Year”

Things sure have changed for Doug Seegers ever since that magic night in the early spring of 2014, when he performed his song ”Going Down To The River” in a Swedish TV show hosted by the local country star Jill Johnson. It was an overnight success, the song went straight to #1 on the Itunes chart and in a few months Seegers went from the life as a homeless street singer in Nashville to a major star in Sweden. His debut album ”Going Down To The River” went Platinum. A duet album with Jill Johnson as well as a Christmas album both charted. He’s done around 200 shows, more or less all of them sold out. And he’s been on all the major TV shows. But all that is history now when we’re looking forward to next chapter of the fairy tale. A chapter that’s perhaps not as spectacular as the first one, but never the less quite amazing.
The new album album ”Walking On the Edge of the World” proves once and for all that Seegers is not a one hit wonder but an accomplished singer, songwriter and performer. 9 of 12 songs are originals and the standard of the songwriting skills are unbelievably high. Listen to the title track ”Walking On the Edge of the World”, the Southern rockish ”Before the Crash” or the beautiful hymn ”Give It Away”. Songwriting and performing at its very best!

When the country vocal band “Home Free” took home the winning title from the NBC reality show The Sing-Off in 2013, it was the greatest moment in the career of the five country stars from Minnesota. It was the reward for almost a decade of continuous hard work, in which they perfected the art of a cappella-music without instruments, made only with the voices and claps. Now, these outstanding artists are coming to continental Europe for the first time, and will present their highly energetic performance in Austria, combining Nashville standards with contemporary hits, studded with quick-witted humor. The five-man band from Minnesota dropped their debut album CRAZY LIFE in 2014, which hit No. 1 on iTunes Country chart and No. 4 overall. The group recently celebrated the release of their third studio album, COUNTRY EVOLUTION, this past October. The release debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Country Album Charts, elevating the band “from auxiliary entertainment to headlining attraction” (Times Leader). “Home Free” are among the most successful winners of a reality show. Now the very likeable men, who are not only cheered on by the female members of the audience, are celebrating a debut in continental Europe. Here, there is already a huge community of fans who can hardly wait to experience this exceptional band live. We look forward to a very special performance by “Home Free” at Achensee.
